I'm truly grateful to be selected as the recipient of the Our Destiny Our Future Scholarship. Knowing that this scholarship honors the legacy of someone dedicated to community service makes it especially meaningful to me. I'm glad to have learned about the inspiration behind this award, and I feel privileged to be a part of continuing that legacy through my volunteer work.  This support eases the financial pressures of pursuing my degree in linguistics, allowing me to focus on my studies and community involvement without added stress. As someone passionate about language, communication, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, this scholarship brings me one step closer to my goal of working internationally—helping others experience the beauty of different cultures through language.  I deeply admire your foundation's mission to improve communities by empowering students like me with educational opportunities. First I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone at the foundation involved in the scholarship process. With the ever-rising cost of college, this award will go a long way in furthering my education here at the University of Alabama and beyond. It comes at the perfect time as I am studying abroad this summer as part of my Spanish minor requirement. Words cannot express how humbled I am. 

Thank you so much! This scholarship will help me pursue my BSN and eventually become a psychiatric nurse.

  Being a winner of this scholarship means the world to me. I've found myself stressing so much about my future scared that it wouldn't unfold how I want. But being awarded this scholarship is such an honor and a sign that Im getting so much closer to fulfilling my dream life. I'm so excited to see where my journey takes me, and I'm so happy to have Our Destiny Our Future Foundation on my side along my journey. 

 With the support of this scholarship, I can fulfill my dreams, complete my degree debt-free, and continue making a difference in the lives of others. I juggle multiple responsibilities, working two part-time jobs to cover my educational expenses. One of my jobs is as a bartender, often working until 3:00 a.m., while the other involves coaching students as early as 5:30 a.m. This demanding schedule compromises my sleep and hampers my cognitive function, affecting essential problem-solving and quick-thinking skills. Moreover, the limited time available for studying significantly impedes my academic progress. However, as the recipient of this scholarship, I can reduce my workload, allowing me to prioritize my studies, improve my cognitive abilities, and invest more time and energy into my fitness endeavors. The financial support provided by this scholarship will alleviate the demanding work schedule, allowing me to fully immerse myself in my coursework, engage in extracurricular activities related to my field, and seize opportunities for professional development. With the invaluable assistance of this scholarship, I can focus on my education, enhance my skills, and ultimately contribute to the fitness community in a more impactful way. Earning this scholarship means more beyond words to me and my journey towards being in a better financial and academic position in my life.
